Hands-on treatment designed to reduce tension, restore movement, and help your body move more comfortably. Sessions combine myofascial techniques, joint mobilization, trigger point work, and movement to address restrictions that may be difficult to change through exercise alone.
BODYWORK & Recovery
WHEN IS BODYWORK helpful
Many people notice that despite stretching, exercising, or receiving regular massage, certain areas continue to feel tight or restricted. Bodywork offers a more focused, hands-on approach to targeting and addressing these patterns directly.
Bodywork can be beneficial when experiencing:
Persistent muscular tension
Neck and shoulder tightness
Hip or low back discomfort
Reduced mobility or joint stiffness
Recovery after exercise
Headaches related to muscular tension
Areas that continually feel "stuck"
Difficulty relaxing despite stretching
WHY hands on work matters
Bodywork at INOCHI draws from a variety of manual therapy techniques to provide your body with the feedback it needs to release tension and move more efficiently. Through skilled hands-on assessment, your practitioner can evaluate tissue quality, joint mobility, and areas of restriction using modalities such as myofascial release, joint mobilization, trigger point therapy, compression, and gentle movement.
While treatment may focus on a specific area, each session also considers how different regions of the body influence one another. By understanding the relationships between muscles, fascia, joints, and the nervous system, bodywork can help reduce unnecessary compensation, improve movement quality, and create changes that are easier for your body to maintain.
Sessions are fully clothed and generally begin lying down, with gentle hands-on work to assess the body, ease tension, and determine what needs attention.
