Strength training is a highly effective and functional way to condition your body. With proper alignment, building and maintaining muscle mass supports balance, bone health, joint stability, metabolism, and the ability to move through daily life with agility and confidence.
At INOCHI, strength training is guided by biomechanics—the understanding of how the body moves as an integrated system. We begin with core integration and alignment, then increase resistance progressively. Exercise selection, weight, pacing, and cueing are carefully considered to help you connect with your effort—building measurable strength while improving the quality and control of how you move.
STRENGTH TRAINING AT INOCHI
EFFECTIVE SEQUENCES, MEASURED PROGRESS
Your first strength sessions establish a clear baseline across the body's major movement patterns. We teach each exercise carefully and increase the weight in small increments until we find a load that feels appropriately challenging while still allowing for controlled, efficient movement.
This process helps establish your starting weights while developing alignment, coordination, and an understanding of how your body moves under load. Sessions begin with movement preparation to promote core integration and postural organization before progressing into more challenging work. The result is strength training that is focused, measurable, and designed to support long-term health.
The pulley-based resistance can be adjusted from very light loads up to 100 pounds, allowing sessions to be both precise and genuinely challenging. It supports progressive strength work through a wide range of movements while giving us the ability to refine angle, range, and resistance around your body.
